RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors approve and authorize the Contracts/Purchasing Officer or Contracts/Purchasing Supervisor to execute Amendment 2 to Agreement with RJA Management Services, to provide consultation services to the Board of Supervisors, including strategic planning, goal setting workshops, and facilitation of performance evaluations, extending the term by two-years for a revised term of July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2025, and increasing the contract amount by $110,000 for a revised not to exceed maximum of $204,000.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
Approval of the recommended action would continue executive consultation services to the Board of Supervisors, including strategic planning, goal setting and facilitation of performance evaluations for select department heads. The proposed amendment extends the term through June 30, 2025; modifies the annual maximum from $47,000 to $55,000; and, increases the contract amount to $204,000. Board authorization is being sought as the amendment increases the agreement maximum over $200,000.
OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT:
The Office of the County Counsel has reviewed and approved the proposed amendment as to form.
FINANCING:
There is no budgetary impact to the FY 2023-24 Adopted Budget resulting from the approval of the recommended action. The increase to the yearly contract ($8,000) will be absorbed by the department.
BOARD OF SUPERVISORS STRATEGIC INITIATIVES:
Approval of the recommended action further enhances the Board Strategic Initiatives to provide efficient and effective government operations.
