RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
Approve and authorize the Contracts/Purchasing Officer to sign Amendment No. 3 to Agreement A-11744 with Valley Health Associates providing narcotic recovery services to increase the Agreement amount by $17,529 in FY 2012-13 for a new total Agreement amount not to exceed $609,784.  
 
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
Valley Health Associates (VHA) provides narcotic and outpatient treatment services which includes methadone dosing. This Amendment adds $17,529 in AB 109 funding. The FY 2012-13 State AB 109 Public Safety Realignment budget was approved by the Board of Supervisors on September 25, 2012.  Amendment No. 3 results in an increased amount to the Agreement by $24,272 for FY 2012-13 for a new total amount not to exceed $609,784.
 
OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT:
County Counsel, Risk Management, and the Auditor-Controller have reviewed this amendment as to legal form, insurance requirements, and fiscal provisions respectively. A copy of
Amendment No. 3 to Agreement A-11744 is on file with the Clerk to the Board.
 
FINANCING:
This Agreement is funded by State and Federal dollars including Realignment dollars (match to Medi-Cal) and Federal dollars (Medi-Cal FFP). This Agreement is also funded by Federal Grant dollars and AB 109 funding. The funds for FY 2012-13 have been included in the Health Department's Behavioral Health (HEA012, Unit 8410) Adopted Budget. Approval of this action has no impact on the County General Fund.
