Title: a. RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the County of Monterey Board of Supervisors:
a. Approve and authorize the Director of Health Services or designee to execute a non-standard Agreement with Central California Alliance for Health to coordinate services for Medi-Cal beneficiaries enrolled, or eligible to enroll in the managed care plan (MCP), retroactive to January 1, 2024, to January 1, 2027, at no cost to the County of Monterey; and
b. Approve a non-standard Agreement as recommended by the Director of Health Services; and
c. Approve and authorize the Director of Health Services or designee to sign up to three future amendments that do not significantly change the scope.

SUMMARY DISCUSSION:
Medi-Cal managed care plans (MCPs) contract with the California Department of Healthcare Services (DHCS) to provide accessible and cost-effective health care through managed care delivery systems. MCPs are obligated by DHCS to execute memoranda of understanding (MOUs) with local health jurisdictions that outline the roles, responsibilities, and obligations of the MCP and the local health jurisdiction for the purpose of coordinating and facilitating whole-system, person-centered care for Medi-Cal members.?
