Authorize the Chief Executive Officer for Natividad Medical Center (NMC) or a designee to execute Amendment No. 3 to the agreement (A-15202) with Paragon Mechanical, Inc. for maintenance and repair of mechanical systems services, extending the agreement for an additional one year period July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027 for a revised full agreement term of July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2027 and adding $100,000 for a revised total agreement amount not to exceed $750,000.

RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended the Board of Supervisors:
Authorize the Chief Executive Officer for Natividad Medical Center (NMC) or a designee to execute amendment No. 3 to the agreement (A-15202) with Paragon Mechanical, Inc. for maintenance and repair of mechanical systems services, extending the agreement for an additional one year period July 1, 2026 through June 30, 2027 for a revised full agreement term of July 1, 2021 through June 30, 2027, and adding $100,000 for a revised total agreement amount not to exceed $750,000.
SUMMARY:
Paragon Mechanical, Inc. (Paragon) provides Natividad Medical Center (NMC) with preventive maintenance and repair services for critical mechanical systems, including boilers, chillers, cooling towers, and HVAC units, in compliance with Office of Statewide Health Planning and Development (OSHPD) requirements. Approval of the recommended action will ensure the continued provision of these essential services in support of hospital operations and patient care.
DISCUSSION:
Paragon brings specialized expertise in maintaining complex mechanical systems, including commercial refrigeration equipment (such as medical-grade refrigerators and freezers regulated by The Joint Commission and California Titles 22 and 24), variable frequency drives (VFDs), medical air compressors, and medical vacuum pumps.
