b. Authorizing the Director of Public Works to execute and record the Notice of Completion for the Blanco Rd Class II Bikeway Project, Project No. 11-869365, State Project EA 05-4A2794L, Federal Aid Project No. RPSTPLE-5944(106) performed by Monterey Peninsula Engineering.

RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors adopt a Resolution:
a. Accepting the Certificate of Completion for construction of the Blanco Rd Class II Bikeway Project, Project No. 11-869365, State Project EA 05-4A2794L, Federal Aid Project No. RPSTPLE-5944(106) performed by Monterey Peninsula Engineering; and
b. Authorizing the Director of Public Works to execute and record the Notice of Completion for the Blanco Rd Class II Bikeway Project, Project No. 11-869365, State Project EA 05-4A2794L, Federal Aid Project No. RPSTPLE-5944(106) performed by Monterey Peninsula Engineering.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
On December 13, 2011, the Board of Supervisors awarded a contract to Monterey Peninsula Engineering for construction of the Blanco Rd Class II Bikeway Project, Project No. 11-869365, State Project EA 05-4A2794L, Federal Aid Project No. RPSTPLE-5944(106) (Project). The Project consisted of replacing the existing 4” white edgeline with a 6” white edgeline on Blanco Road, from Research Drive by the City of Marina to Luther Way by the City of Salinas, approximately 5.14 miles. The Project also included the installation of Bike Lane signs and pavement markings.
The contract is complete in all respects in accordance with the Plans and Special Provisions. The work is ready to be accepted by the Board of Supervisors.
