Title: a. RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
a. Approve and authorize the Director of Health or Assistant Director of Health to sign a Standard Services Agreement between the County of Monterey and Motivating Individual Leadership for Public Advancement (MILPA) for the provision of reclassification and community outreach and education services for Proposition 47 Cohort-3 Grant services in Monterey County, in the amount of $298,389 for Fiscal Year's 2022-26 retroactive to February 16, 2023; and
b. Approve and authorize the Director of Health or Assistant Director of Health to approve up to three (3) future amendments that do not exceed 10% ($29,839) of the original Agreement amount and do not significantly alter the scope of services.

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
The Board of State and Community Corrections (BSCC) awarded a continuing three-year $6,000,000 Proposition 47 Cohort-3 grant to the County of Monterey Health Department, Behavioral Health Bureau. The Grant will continue to focus on individuals in the criminal justice system in need of mental health, substance abuse treatment and supportive services needed to eliminate barriers to successful reintegration into society and reduce the recidivism rate of people convicted of less serious crimes.
