SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
The Monterey County Sheriff's Advisory Council is a non-profit 501(c)(3) registered with the State of California. Recently, the Sheriff's Advisory Council purchased and donated gym flooring, fitness equipment, Jr. Rodeo Sponsorship, Monterey Peninsula Foundation gift package and CSSA gift baskets with an estimated market value of $14,576.
In 2023, the Sheriff's Advisory Council initiated a fundraising campaign to generate funds to renovate the Wellness Facility located at the Sheriff's Office Public Safety Building (PSB). The Sheriff's Office Public Safety Building located at 1414 Natividad Road, Salinas, California, was originally built with designated space for a gym and outfitted with gym equipment. The original gym equipment had deteriorated with use and time. Thereafter, the Monterey County Sheriff's Office (MCSO) received donation of fitness equipment, purchased from Opti-Fit Fitness Solutions, from the Sheriff's Advisory Council and approved by this board.
