Title: a. Approve and authorize the Director of Health Services or their designee to sign an Agreement with Bayside Oil II, Inc., for used oil and filter collection, hauling, and recycling for the amount of $40,000 retroactive to July 1, 2023, through June 30, 2025; b. RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
a. Approve and authorize the Director of Health Services or their designee to sign an Agreement with Bayside Oil II, Inc., for used oil and filter collection, hauling, and recycling for the amount of $40,000, retroactive to July 1, 2023, through June 30, 2025;
b. Accept non-standard risk provisions (indemnity/insurance) as recommended by the Director of Health Services; and
c. Approve and authorize the Director of Health Services or their designee to execute up to three (3) future amendments that do not exceed 10% ($4,000) of the original Agreement and to make changes to Exhibit B as needed specific to Collection Centers and that does not significantly change the scope of services.

SUMMARY:
The Health Department's Environmental Health Bureau coordinates a countywide Used Oil and Filter Collection and Recycling Program. The State of California's Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle) provides annual funding to local jurisdictions to implement their Used Oil and Filter Collection and Recycling Programs. Bayside Oil II, Inc. acts as the County's collector, hauler, and recycler for used oil and filters.
