b. Approve the NMC’s Chief Executive Officer’s recommendation to accept non-standard contract provisions within the agreement.

RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended the Board of Supervisors:
a. Authorize the Chief Executive Officer for Natividad Medical Center (NMC) or his designee to execute an agreement with MealSuite, Inc. for food service software services at NMC for an amount not to exceed $41,364 with an agreement term August 1, 2025 through July 31, 2026.
b. Approve the NMC’s Chief Executive Officer’s recommendation to accept non-standard contract provisions within the agreement.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
MealSuite is the core cloud-based platform powering foodservice management behind the scenes. It offers the infrastructure required for recipe management, nutrient analysis, inventory control, production planning, and compliance documentation. While staff-facing tools appear under the BluePrint 360 label, MealSuite is the foundation that drives much of the functionality.
MealSuite works independently as a full foodservice management system, capable of supporting hospitals, long-term care facilities, and other healthcare institutions. However, in this case, it also functions jointly with another software used by staff at Natividad to facilitate patient-specific services and tray workflows.
For Natividad Medical Center, MealSuite will serve as the system of record for menu planning, therapeutic diets, food production, and inventory. It allows detailed configuration of hospital menus, dietary restrictions, and forecasting tools that enable cost control and food safety.
