Title: a. RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:

Approve and authorize the Director of Health to sign a three fiscal year term Mental Health Services Agreement (July 1, 2013 to June 30, 2016) with Central Coast Citizenship Project for the provision of community based prevention and early intervention mental health services for unserved adults, children, and families in the amount of $85,160 for Fiscal Year (FY) 2013-14, $85,160 for FY 2014-15, and $85,160 for FY 2015-16 for a total Agreement amount of $255,480; and

SUMMARY:
Central Coast Citizenship Project (CCCP) provides prevention and early intervention community based mental health services to the unserved and underserved Latino population of Monterey County. Services include community outreach and engagement opportunities to increase mental health awareness, education on accessing services, and referrals to agencies. In addition, CCCP has a clinician on staff to provide direct services that include assessment and short term counseling.
