a. Approve and authorize the Director of Health or Assistant Director of Health to execute a one-year MHS Agreement with California Psychiatric Transitions for the provision of mental health services for adults with severe psychiatric disabilities, for a maximum County obligation of $2,064,645 retroactive to July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2018; and
b. Approve and authorize the Director of Health or Assistant Director of Health to approve up to three (3) future amendments that do not exceed ten percent (10%) ($206,465) of the original Agreement amount and do not significantly alter the scope of services.

RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
a. Approve and authorize the Director of Health or Assistant Director of Health to execute a one-year MHS Agreement with California Psychiatric Transitions for the provision of mental health services for adults with severe psychiatric disabilities, for a maximum County obligation of $2,064,645 retroactive to July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2018; and

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
California Psychiatric Transitions (CPT), located in Delhi, California, is one of a very limited number of Mental Health Rehabilitation Centers (MHRC's) that specialize in working with people with severe mental disabilities. This facility provides client specific programs including behavioral adjustment, self-help skill development, pre-vocational preparation, and addressing special needs in interpersonal relationships.
