RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Monterey County Water Resources Agency Board of Directors:
Approve Amendment No. 1 to the Professional Services Agreement with Hollenbeck consulting to increase the dollar amount by 250,000 for a total contract amount not-to-exceed of $500,000, to continue to provide project management and engineering services for the Nacimiento Dam and authorize the General Manager to execute the agreement.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
The current Professional Services Contract with Hollenbeck Consulting was approved by the Board of Directors (BOD) September 16, 2024. The Agency has been utilizing Hollenbeck Consulting to support progress on multiple grant and FEMA reimbursable projects at Nacimiento Dam.
Examples of the projects being worked under this PSA, and their funding source are the South Access Road Rehabilitation (FEMA reimbursable, 2023 Storms), the replacement of the intake actuators recently completed ($6.1 mil State Funding Agreement-DWR), the Nacimiento Dam.
Approving Amendment No. 1, to the PSA with Hollenbeck Consulting will allow the Agency to continue working on multiple Dam Safety projects at Nacimiento Dam and achieve project completion within the program deadlines for the $6.1 mil state funding agreement and the SB104 Grant award.

FINANCING:
The adopted FY2026-2027 Budget includes appropriations to cover the proposed work in Fund
116-Dam Operations and Maintenance and in Fund 426-Interlake Tunnel Project.
