Acting on behalf of County Service Area 15 - Toro Park and Serra Village:
a. Receive and accept a report on the financial condition of County Service Area 15 - Toro Park and Serra Village; and
b. Authorize the Auditor-Controller to amend the budget for County Service Area 15 - Toro Park and Serra Village, Fund 056, Appropriation Unit RMA052, Account 6835, for FY 2012-13 by increasing appropriations by $10,000 (4/5th vote required).

RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors acting on behalf of County Service Area 15 - Toro Park and Serra Village:
a. Receive and accept a report on the financial condition of County Service Area 15 - Toro Park and Serra Village; and
b. Authorize the Auditor-Controller to amend the budget for County Service Area 15 - Toro Park and Serra Village, Fund 056, Appropriation Unit RMA052, Account 6835, for FY 2012-13 by increasing appropriations by $10,000 (4/5th vote required).
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
The proposed recommendation will increase appropriations for FY 2012-13 by $10,000. County Service Area 15 - Toro Park and Serra Village (CSA 15) was first established to provide the following services: Lighting, Storm Drain and Surface Water Disposal, and Open Space Maintenance.
In June 2012, the Board of Supervisors approved the Budget for the County of Monterey which included the 2012-13 Budget for CSA 15. The budget included total appropriations of $137,720. There is a need to increase the appropriations in this fiscal year (FY 2012-13) by $10,000 to provide for sufficient contingencies that are not currently budgeted. Previously budgeted contingencies have been exhausted by recent Open Space Maintenance projects that resolved hazards and liabilities for the County of Monterey.
