RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors approve the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for Monterey County Park Rangers' Association (MCPRA) Units Q and V for the period July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2014.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
On October 2, 2013, MCPRA Units Q and V ratified a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the County of Monterey. The terms and conditions of the MOU are now submitted for approval.
The MCPRA Units Q and V MOU provides for employee contributions to CalPERS and other changes to the wages and benefits.
OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT:
The MCPRA Units Q and V members and staff contributed to the development of the MOU as presented.
FINANCING:
The annualized cost for the MCPRA agreement is $32,214 for the Parks Department.
