RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Directors of the Monterey County Water Resources Agency:
a. Ratify Amendment No. 4 to the Professional Services Agreement with AECOM Technical Services, Inc. This amendment updates the Fee Schedule and Scope of Work for the San Antonio Dam’s safety surveillance and performance evaluation; and
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
On July 1, 2022, the Monterey County Water Resources Agency (Agency) entered into a Professional Services Agreement (Agreement) with AECOM Technical Services, Inc., to conduct safety surveillance and performance evaluations for San Antonio Dam.
Amendment No. 4 finalizes the Scope of Work budget details for Fiscal Years 2026-27 and 2027-28. AECOM has requested an increase to their hourly labor rates by approximately 2.5% for the next two years. This increase complies with the Agreement’s direct labor rate payment provisions, as it falls within the allowed Consumer Price Index (CPI) for the San Francisco Bay Area over the past 12-month period. The requested hourly labor rate increase and the slight increase in the labor hours required to complete the scope of work tasks will not change the total contract amount previously approved in Amendment No. 3.

None.
FINANCING:
Amendment No. 4 is financed by the fund balance in Fund 1503. The total amount needed in the current fiscal year is estimated at $69,998 and is included in the FY 2026-26 Adopted Budget. The total amount needed in FY 2027-28 is estimated at $68,520.
