a. Approve and authorize the Director of the Department of Social Services to sign an agreement with Executive Information Systems, LLC. (EIS) to provide consulting services for the installation and configuration of SAS Viya software in the amount of $22,854 for the period of July 1, 2021 through June 1, 2022 including nonstandard indemnification and liability provisions and modifications to the County's standard agreement; and,
b. Authorize the Director of the Department of Social Services to sign up to three (3) amendments to the agreement where the total amendments do not exceed 10% ($2,285) of the original contract amount and do not significantly change the scope of work.

RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
a. Approve and authorize the Director of the Department of Social Services to sign an agreement with Executive Information Systems, LLC. (EIS) to provide consulting services for the installation and configuration of SAS Viya software in the amount of $22,854 for the period of July 1, 2021 through June 1, 2022 including nonstandard indemnification and liability provisions and modifications to the County's standard agreement; and,

SUMMARYDISCUSSION:
The Department would like to acquire specialized software to develop case analytics and statistics, allow for forecasting, and identify trends in administering benefits to the community. SAS (SAS Viya) Software will assist in providing insight into the services provided by DSS, measuring, and identifying gaps existing in community needs, and optimize the offering of services to our community and residents.
