RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended the Board of Supervisors authorize the Contracts/Purchasing Officer to sign and execute Amendment No.4 to Professional Service Agreement with Commercial Services Co. to increase the total amount of the Agreement by $160,000 for a cumulative total of $240,000 in the term period of July 1, 2010 to June 30, 2014 for repair services at the Sheriff’s Office.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
The County entered into agreement with Commercial Services Co. on July 1, 2010 for repair services of kitchen equipment located in the County Jail as needed basis; and as of April 6, 2012 through Amendment No. 2 the scope of work was modified to include building related repair services for the Sheriff’s Public Safety Building. Per the modification of the scope of work the total amount of the agreement was also increased to cover the added services. The amount was increase by $24,000, making the total amount not to exceed $40,000 for Fiscal Year (FY) 2012-13.
In FY 2012-13 the agreement was amended to extend the term end date two additional years and to increase the total amount payable to Commercial Services by the County for the additional year at the revised rates. The total amount of the agreement was increased by $40,000 totaling the agreement amount to $80,000 for FY 2012-13 and FY 2013-14. However, due to unexpected repairs the increased amount of $40,000 for both fiscal years was not enough to cover repair expenses in FY 2012-13.
By approving Amendment No.4, Commercial Services can continue to provide repair services for the Sheriff’s Office, the Public Safety Building and the Jail. The approval of Amendment No....
