RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Monterey County Water Resources Agency Finance & Administration Committee:
Recommend that the Monterey County Water Resources Agency Board of Directors that the Monterey County Water Resources Board of Supervisors:
a. Approve Amendment No. 1 to the Nacimiento 3A & 3B Grazing Lease Agreement between Monterey County Water Resources Agency and Nolan Brennan to add Sinclair Livestock, Inc. as an additional Lessee
b. Authorize the General Manager to execute Amendment No. 1
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
The Agency executed a 10-year Grazing Lease Agreement with Nolan Brennan for the Nacimiento 3A & 3B grazing area, effective November 1, 2026, through October 31, 2036. The proposed Amendment No. 1 would add Sinclair Livestock, Inc. as an additional lessee to the existing agreement.
Adding Sinclair Livestock, Inc., as an additional lessee, would formally recognize Sinclair Livestock, Inc. as a party to the Grazing Lease Agreement and subject Sinclair Livestock, Inc., to the applicable terms, conditions, and responsibilities of the lease. All other terms and conditions of the existing agreement would remain in effect unless specifically modified by the amendment.
