RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
a.Approve and authorize the Director of the Department of Social Services to sign an agreement with Community Human Services to provide Commercially Sexually Exploited Children (CSEC) program services in the amount of $118,750 for a term of July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023; and
b. Authorize the Director of the Department of Social Service to sign up to three (3) amendments to this Agreement where the total amendments do not exceed 10% ($11,875) of the contract amount and do not significantly change the scope of work.

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
This agreement will provide advocacy services for identified minor victims of Commercial Sexual Exploitation (CSE) and Sex Trafficking who are also dependents of the Child Welfare Department in Monterey County. In addition, Community Human Services will provide CSE Screenings through their Safe Place Program, in order to identify youth who are victims, or are at risk of becoming victims, of commercial sexual exploitation or trafficking. Community Human Services will also conduct community awareness outreach throughout the year and will host one community outreach and awareness event during the year.
