a. Approve and authorize the Director or designee of the Department of Social Services to sign an agreement with Hartnell Community College District to provide training services to eligible current and prospective Monterey County caregivers for the period of July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2027, in the amount of $1,247,489; and
b. Authorize the Director or designee of the Department of Social Services to sign up to three amendments to this Agreement where the total amendments do not exceed 10% ($124,748) of the amended contract amount, do not significantly change the scope of work, and do not exceed the maximum aggregate amount of $1,372,237.

RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
a. Approve and authorize the Director or designee of the Department of Social Services to sign an agreement with Hartnell Community College District to provide training services to eligible current and prospective Monterey County caregivers for the period of July 1, 2025 through June 30, 2027, in the amount of $1,247,489; and

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
This Agreement provides Title IV-E qualified short-term training in Monterey County for current and prospective resource families and adoptive parents in Monterey County. Services provided include training coordination, planning, curriculum development, training support, outreach, evaluation, and childcare as needed.
