RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors approve and authorize the Monterey County Laguna Seca Representative to execute a retroactive Amendment No. 2 to a Standard Agreement between Villa & Sons Builder Services and the County of Monterey to provide street sweeping, track painting, sandblasting, and paddock striping at WeatherTech® Raceway at Laguna Seca, increasing the agreement by $48,576 for a total amount not to exceed $147,576, with a term retroactive to February 23, 2024 through December 31, 2026.

SUMMARY
Public Works, Facilities and Parks (PWFP) is amending the Standard Agreement between the County of Monterey (County) and Villa & Sons Builder Services (Villa) to cover an outstanding invoice for services provided in 2024.

DISCUSSION:
A&D Narigi Consulting, LLC (A&D) and the County entered into a Management Agreement on November 20, 2019 for the operation and management of Laguna Seca Recreation Area (LSRA). Subsequently, the County entered into a Standard Agreement with Villa, a local general contractor, on February 23, 2024 (Attachment A) and executed Amendment No. 1 on July 1, 2024 (Attachment B) to provide sweeping, track painting, sandblasting and paddock striping services (collectively “Services”). At the request of A&D, Villa performed the Services at LSRA from April 2-6, 2024.
