RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors approve the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for Monterey County Registered Nurses' Association (MCRNA) Unit S for the period January 1, 2014 through December 31, 2015.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
On February 14, 2014, MCRNA Unit S ratified a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the County of Monterey. The terms and conditions of the MOU are now submitted for approval.
The MCRNA Unit S MOU provides for employee contributions to CalPERS and other changes to wages and benefits.
OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT:
The MCRNA Unit S members and staff contributed to the development of the MOU as presented.
FINANCING:
The annualized cost for the MCRNA agreement is $0.5 million for the Health Department and
$2.4 million for Natividad Medical Center.
