RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
Approve and Authorize the Contracts and Purchasing Officer or their designee to execute an agreement with Cornerstone Detention Products, Inc., for preventative maintenance services at Jail, July 1, 2024, through June 30, 2027, in the amount of $200,000.

SUMMARY:
The Monterey County Sheriff 's Office (MCSO) request approval of this agreement.

The Detention System must be supported by certified technicians. The Detention System includes the locking of Doors, Cameras, Duress Alarms and power supplies at a minimum. To ensure safety and system integrity the Detention System and Cameras in the Jail requires routine system test and inspections.

The technician will repair and adjust cameras, panels, door control system, duress alarms, relays for proper operating voltages and power supplies during maintenance visits. Having the system reviewed for door status, alarms and camera viewing is vital to a jails safety and the safety of officers, visitors, attorneys, monitors and control staff.

This agreement is to provide at least once a quarter and up to six unscheduled maintenance requests throughout a given calendar year.

OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT:
County Counsel has reviewed as to legal form, and the Auditor/Controller has reviewed for fiscal provisions. Information Technology supports this agreement.

FINANCING:
The cost of this agreement has been included in the FY 2024-25 Recommended Budget and will not need an additional County General Fund Contribution.
