Title: a. Approve and authorize the Director of the Department of Social Services to sign a no cost agreement for the period April 1, 2021 through June 30, 2024 with the Mexican-American Opportunity Foundation (MAOF) to facilitate the exchange of confidential information in order to provide child care payment services to CalWORKs customers; and b. RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
a. Approve and authorize the Director of the Department of Social Services to sign a no cost agreement for the period April 1, 2021 through June 30, 2024 with the Mexican-American Opportunity Foundation (MAOF) to facilitate the exchange of confidential information in order to provide child care payment services to CalWORKs customers; and
b. Authorize the Director of the Department of Social Services to sign up to three (3) amendments to this agreement that do not encompass payment or significantly change the scope of work.

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
This agreement is for the purpose of sharing confidential information with MAOF to provide a seamless transition from Stage 1 to Stages 2 & 3 child care payment services. State of California Regulations Manual of Policies and Procedures (MPP 47-101.5) requires the exchange of information between County Agencies and Resource and Referral (R&R) and Alternative Payment Program (APP) service providers for the purpose of administering seamless transitional childcare services between Child Care Stages 1, 2 & 3, and binds each of these agencies by the same confidentiality requirements.
