It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
Approve and authorize the Contracts/Purchasing Officer to execute an Agreement with Rancho Cielo, Inc. and the Monterey County Health Department to provide limited, non-emergent primary medical care services to youth at their campus.

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
The Monterey County Health Department's Clinic Services Bureau (Clinic Services) desires to provide limited non-emergent primary medical care services, one day per month, to youth on the Rancho Cielo campus site. Both Rancho Cielo and Clinic Services will work collaboratively to provide access to health care services to achieve the best health outcomes through delivering a quality of care that is effective, safe, patient-centered, culturally competent, efficient and equitable.

Clinic Services and Rancho Cielo share a desire to serve at-risk and underserved populations. Clinic Services operates seven Federally Qualified Health Center Look-Alike (FQHC) community clinics, committed to serving primarily low-income residents and the medically underserved, many of who are eligible for Medi-Cal, Medicare and other public health care assistance programs.

Rancho Cielo, a 100-acre ranch in Salinas, operates four comprehensive learning and social services programs for underserved youth, ages 16 through 24, from urban City of Salinas and surrounding rural communities within Monterey County.
