RECOMMENDATIONS:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
a. Accepting the Certificate of Completion for the construction of the Procurement (Delivery and Application) of Asphalt Emulsion for the Seal Coat 2012 Project, Project No. 13-551327, performed by Telfer Oil Company; and
b. Authorizing the Director of Public Works to execute and record the Notice of Completion for the Procurement (Delivery and Application) of Asphalt Emulsion for the Seal Coat 2012 Project, Project No. 13-551327, performed by Telfer Oil Company.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
On July 31, 2012, the Board of Supervisors awarded a contract to Telfer Oil Company for construction of the Procurement (Delivery and Application) of Asphalt Emulsion for the Seal Coat 2012 Project, Project No. 13-551327 (Project). The contract is a component of the Project (FY 2012-13) consisting of procurement and application of polymer modified rejuvenating emulsion (PMRE) for the San Miguel Road Maintenance District scrub seal and polymer modified cationic rapid set (PMCRS2h) emulsion for Monterey, Greenfield, and San Ardo Road Maintenance Districts’ chip seal operations. CRS-1hh asphalt emulsion was used for fog seal operations in the San Miguel and Monterey Road Maintenance Districts. The contract is complete in all respects in accordance with the Plans and Special Provisions. The work is ready to be accepted by the Board.
