a. Approve and authorize the Director of Health Services or designee to execute Amendment No. 2 with Clear Labs, Inc., for the purchases of a service plan for a Clear Dx System, Clear DX WGS SARS--CoV-2 Reagents, and Clear Dx Microbial Surveillance Reagents and extend the term for an additional two years, for a new term of May 17, 2022 through March 31, 2027, and a total Agreement amount not to exceed $1,017,641; and
b. Approve and authorize the Director of Health Services or designee to sign up to three future amendments where the combined amendments do not exceed 10% ($101,764) of the original amount and do not significantly change the scope of services, total not to exceed a maximum of $1,119,405.

RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the County of Monterey Board of Supervisors:
a. SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
The County of Monterey Health Department is seeking approval to amend its current agreement with Clear Labs, Inc. The original agreement with Clear Labs, Inc., enabled the Public Health Laboratory to purchase SARS-CoV-2 genome sequencing test kits and preventative maintenance service for its Clear Labs instrument.
