a. Approve and authorize the Director of Health Services or designee to execute a retroactive Non-Standard Agreement with the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) to allow the County of Monterey Health Department to explore data sets, conduct surveillance, and provide reports to CDPH, for the term retroactive to September 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025, for a receivable amount not to exceed $90,000; and
b. Approve non-standard risk provisions in the Agreement as recommended by the Director of Health Services; and
c. Approve and authorize the Director of Health Services or designee to sign up to three future amendments that do not significantly change the scope of work.

RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the County of Monterey Board of Supervisors:
a. Approve and authorize the Director of Health Services or designee to execute a retroactive Non-Standard Agreement with the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) to allow the County of Monterey Health Department to explore data sets, conduct surveillance, and provide reports to CDPH, for the term retroactive to September 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025, for a receivable amount not to exceed $90,000; and

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
The County of Monterey Health Department (MCHD) Public Health Bureau (PHB) collects and maintains near-real time data from health care facilities for syndromic surveillance. The data are used by epidemiologists to monitor disease trends and assess any aberrations for early detection of emerging health events in the county.
