a. Approve and authorize the Director of the Department of Social Services to sign in tandem Amendment #1 to Agreement 5010-60, with the Alisal Unified School District to provide congregate meals to seniors in Salinas by adding $21,334 for the period July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021 for a revised total Agreement amount not to exceed $106,334; and
b. Authorize the Director of the Department of Social Services to sign up to three (3) amendments to the agreement where the total amendments do not exceed 10% ($10,633) of the contract amount and do not significantly change the scope of work.

RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
a. Approve and authorize the Director of the Department of Social Services to sign in tandem Amendment #1 to Agreement 5010-60,with the Alisal Unified School District to provide congregate meals to seniors in Salinas by adding $21,334 for the period July 1, 2020 through June 30, 2021 for a revised total Agreement amount not to exceed $106,334; and

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
The Alisal Union School District provides congregate meals to seniors living in the Salinas area. Meal locations include the Firehouse Community Center on East Alisal Street and Sherwood Village's CHISPA Senior Housing on North Main Street Meals at group dining locations are currently offered in accordance with safety protocols during the COVID-19 pandemic and practices may change as needed. The meals meet all the requirements of the Older Americans Act, State/local laws and dietary guidelines for older residents. Meals also follow the Nutrition Services Incentive Program (NSIP) requirements.
