RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the County of Monterey Board of Supervisors:
Approve and authorize the Director of Health Services or designee to execute Amendment No. 2 to non-Standard Agreement A-16758 with Infinite Diversity, LLC for training and consultation services to extend the term for one (1) additional Fiscal Year and add $80,000 of additional services, for a revised total Agreement amount not to exceed $120,000 for a revised new term of March 22, 2024 through June 30, 2026.

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
Infinite Diversity, LLC provides training and consultation in LGBTQ+ issues. Kelsey Pacha, founder of Infinite Diversity, LLC, has a unique perspective and skill set valuable in training professionals to support LGBTQ+ youth, and is an experienced presenter who speaks nationally on a range of LGBTQ+ topics. Kelsey Pacha’s trainings have provided excellent tools and support to Monterey County staff to work more effectively with families in supporting their LGBTQ youth who are experiencing suicidal ideation and suicide attempts due to feelings of rejection and lack of acceptance by family/parental religious beliefs. This Amendment No. 2 revises the total agreement amount to increase training and consultation services to better understand and support the needs of LGBTQ+ individuals and their support systems living in Monterey County.
