SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
The continued public workshop for the Big Sur Land Use Plan (BSLUP) update was originally scheduled for May 8, 2024. Due to the Highway 1 slip-out at Rocky Ridge in person attendance for Big Sur community members is difficult. Caltrans currently estimates that the Rocky Ridge slip-out repair work will be completed by Memorial Day weekend, and the next Planning Commission date with available time is June 26, 2024. Therefore, staff requests that the Planning Commission allow the continuance of the hearing date to a date certain of June 26, 2024.
