RECOMMENDATION:

Approve and authorize the Library Director or their designee to execute an agreement with UV Landscaping LLC, with a retroactive term of  July 1, 2025, through June 30, 2026, to provide landscaping services and weed abatement at the San Lucas Library in a not-to-exceed amount of $5,160

 

SUMMARY:

This item is to approve a retroactive contract for landscaping services from UV Landscaping LLC, for the San Lucas Library (54692 Teresa St)

 

DISCUSSION:

This contract is for landscaping services for the San Lucas Library. The Library has contracted with UV Landscaping LLC, for these Landscaping services.

 

This contract is retroactive to July 1 due to unexpected contracting time with the vendor. As the prior agreement had lapsed without renewal, a new agreement became required. Services could not be discontinued during the interim period due to the need for landscaping services for the facility.  

 

FINANCING:

The costs for this contract is anticipated and paid from the Monterey County Free Libraries operational budget, and will not impact the General Fund.

 

OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT:

County Counsel has reviewed and approved the Agreement as to form. The Office of the Auditor-Controller has reviewed and approved as to fiscal provisions.

 

BOARD OF SUPERVISORS STRATEGIC INITIATIVES:

Clean and organized facilities are required for effective public library services.
