b. Authorize the Resource Management Agency Director to advertise the "Notice to Bidders" in the Monterey County Weekly.
SUMMARY:
Adopting the Plans and Special Provisions and authorizing the Resource Management Agency (RMA) to advertise the State Route 1 Climbing Lane project, between Carmel Valley Road and Rio Road, will allow the RMA to proceed with the construction phase of the project and solicit construction bids. The project will also upgrade the wooden signal poles at the intersection of State Route 1 and Carmel Valley Road.
Project construction is anticipated to begin in fall 2017.
In compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA), The State Department of Transportation (Caltrans) adopted a Mitigated Negative Declaration (MND) in April 2012 and an addendum to the MND in February 2017.
