a. Authorize Director of Health or Assistant Director of Health to execute an Agreement with Health Career Connection, Inc. in the amount of $26,000 for the provision of a ten (10) week summer college health management internship program for college and university students, for the period retroactive from June 12, 2017 to April 30, 2019.
b. Accept the non-standard risk terms regarding insurance and indemnification, as recommended by the Director of Health.

RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
a. Authorize Director of Health or Assistant Director of Health to execute an Agreement with Health Career Connection, Inc. in the amount of $26,000 for the provision of a ten (10) week summer college health management internship program for college and university students, for the period retroactive from June 12, 2017 to April 30, 2019.
b. Accept the non-standard risk terms regarding insurance and indemnification, as recommended by the Director of Health.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
Health Career Connection, Inc. (HHC) is a national non-profit that inspires and empowers undergraduate students, recent graduates and HCC alumni, particularly those from under-represented or disadvantage backgrounds, to choose and successfully pursue healthcare and public health careers. HCC connects organizations in all health sectors with talented and diverse future health professionals. Interns support priority projects and programs to optimize organizational performance, foster innovation and drive growth. HCC priority goals include: student empowerment and success, provide organizations and graduate programs access to diverse talent, and increase the health workforce diversity.
