a. Approve and authorize the Director of Health Services or designee to execute a retroactive Renewal and Amendment No. 1 to the Paramedic Service Provider Agreement between the County of Monterey and Fort Hunter Liggett Fire and Emergency Services to extend the term of the agreement for two years, for an aggregate term of March 15, 2023 to June 30, 2028 for the provision of paramedic services in the County of Monterey; and
b. Approve and authorize the Director of Health Services or designee to execute up to three future amendments that do not significantly change the scope of services.

RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the County of Monterey Board of Supervisors:
a. Approve and authorize the Director of Health Services or designee to execute a retroactive Renewal and Amendment No. 1 to the Paramedic Service Provider Agreement between the County of Monterey and Fort Hunter Liggett Fire and Emergency Services to extend the term of the agreement for two years, for an aggregate term of March 15, 2023 to June 30, 2028 for the provision of paramedic services in the County of Monterey; and
b. Approve and authorize the Director of Health Services or designee to execute up to three future amendments that do not significantly change the scope of services.
SUMMARY:
The Director of Health Services seeks authorization to execute a retroactive Renewal and Amendment No. 1 to the Paramedic Service Provider Agreement with Fort Hunter Liggett Fire and Emergency Services to extend the term of the agreement to June 30, 2028 for the provision of paramedic services in the County of Monterey.
