RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
Monterey Bay Central Labor Council (MBCLC) conducts grant-funded Medi-Cal application, renewal and outreach services in partnership with Department of Social Services (DSS). They have a special emphasis on providing services for hard to reach populations throughout Monterey County. MBCLC staff will work directly with DSS staff to identify individuals needing to renew their Medi-Cal coverage. MBCLC will then be charged with connecting with those individuals and assisting them through the renewal process.

The MBCLC led the implementation of the initial aspects of AB 82 funded expansions to Medi-Cal outreach and enrollment. SB 18 is now the follow up to that work, ensuring that Monterey County residents who are eligible for Medi-Cal stay enrolled. The MBCLC has the experience required to impleme...
