Adopt Resolution to approve the amendments to the Conflict of Interest Code of the Health Department of Monterey County.

RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors, as code reviewing body, approve and order the proposed amendments to the Conflict of Interest Code of the Health Department of Monterey County, a copy of which is attached hereto (Attachment B).
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
The Political Reform Act of 1974 (Government Code sections 810000, et. Seq.), requires state and local government agencies to adopt Conflict of Interest codes and periodically review and amend any changes to this code. On October 9, 2001, the Monterey County Board of Supervisors, as the code reviewing body, approved an amendment to "Exhibit A: Designated Positions" to the Health Department of Monterey County Conflict of Interest Code. Since 2001, numerous position and title changes have occurred, thus the need to amend the code to accurately reflect the current designated positions and titles of these designated positions. The amended "Appendix B: Designated Positions" is attached for review and approval.
OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT:
County Counsel has reviewed and concurs with this requested amendment.
FINANCING:
There is no financial impact with the approval of this requested amendment.
