RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
Approve and authorize the Director of Health or Assistant Director of Health to execute Amendment No. 1 to Mental Health Services Agreement A-14355 with Seneca Family of Agencies dba Kinship Center to add $4,831,799 of additional services, for a revised total Agreement amount not to exceed $12,555,719 for the same term July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2022.

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
Seneca Family of Agencies dba Kinship Center provides mental health services to Monterey County children and youth through four separate programs: (1) D'Arrigo Outpatient, (2) Early Childhood Treatment, (3) Hospital Alternative Placement, and (4) Compass. These programs serve children and their families and/or caregivers who are in foster care, require aid to adoption, or are in adoption preservation. The programs promote improvement in the child's overall functioning within his/her family, school, peer group and community; a reduction in the risk of mental health disabilities, an improvement with family member's mental health and well-being to improve the child's mental health functioning; and a reduction in the possibility of future residential care, periodic inpatient hospitalization, placement at out of state facilities, or placement in a juvenile justice facility.

This Amendment No. 1 will add two additional programs, (5) Mobile Crisis Support Team (MCST) and (6) Wraparound.
