RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
a. Rescind Resolution No. 23-309 and approve a corrected resolution of intention and boundary map under section 10104 of the Streets and highways code of California in and for the Carmel Area Wastewater District Assessment District No. 23-01 (Corona Road area Sanitary Sewer System Project).

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
The Board of Supervisors previously approved Resolution No. 23-309 on August 22, 2023 approving the proposed resolution of intention and boundary map for the formation of Carmel Area Wastewater district Assessment district No. 23-01. Subsequently, the District notified the County that the proposed boundary map had been changed to add one additional parcel (shown on the map as Parcel 56) to the proposed boundaries of the assessment district, and accordingly, has requested that the Board approve a corrected resolution of intention and approve a revised boundary map for the Assessment District, all as set forth in the enclosed Resolution.

OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT:
This request is initiated by the Carmel Area Wastewater District. County Administrative Office staff have reviewed this matter with County Counsel.

FINANCING:
There is no impact of the General Fund.

BOARD OF SUPERVISORS STRATEGIC INITIATIVES:
This proposed assessment district will be critical to the provision of sewer service in the Corona Rd. area.
