RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors approve the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for Probation Managers' Association (MCPMA) Unit L for the period July 1, 2013 through June 30, 2016.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
On October 8, 2013, MCPMA Unit L ratified a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with the County of Monterey. The terms and conditions of the MOU are now submitted for approval.
The MCPMA Unit L MOU provides for employee contributions to CalPERS and other changes to wages and benefits.
OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT:
The MCPMA Unit L members and staff contributed to the development of the MOU as presented.
FINANCING:
The annualized cost for the MCPMA agreement is $154,944 in FY 2013-2014, $26,035 in FY 2014-2015 and $52,591 in FY 2015-2016 for the Probation Department.
