a. Approve and authorize the Director of Health or Assistant Director of Health to execute renewal and Amendment No. 1 to the Mental Health Services Agreement with Alsana, extend the Agreement by eight (8) months, for a revised full agreement term of September 21, 2020 through August 31, 2021, and add $99,302 for a revised total agreement amount not to exceed $192,304.
b. Approve and authorize the Director of Health or Assistant Director of Health to approve up to three (3) future amendments that do not exceed ten percent (10%) ($19,230) of the original Agreement amount and do not significantly alter the scope of services.

RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
a. Approve and authorize the Director of Health or Assistant Director of Health to execute renewal and Amendment No. 1 to the Mental Health Services Agreement with Alsana, extend the Agreement by eight (8) months, for a revised full agreement term of September 21, 2020 through August 31, 2021, and add $99,302 for a revised total agreement amount not to exceed $192,304.

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
The County's Agreement with Alsana expired on December 19, 2020. This Amendment No. 1 renews the agreement retroactive to December 20, 2020 due to delayed contract negotiations, adds clinically needed Day Treatment services and Intensive Outpatient services and extends the term date to August 31, 2021. Alsana will continue to provide eating disorder services to our client currently receiving mental health services at their facility.
