Adopt a resolution approving an amended conflict of interest code for the Salinas Valley Basin Groundwater Sustainability Agency (“SVBGSA”).

RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors adopt a resolution approving an amended conflict of interest code for the Salinas Valley Basin Groundwater Sustainability Agency (“SVBGSA”).
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
The SVBGSA originally adopted a Conflict of Interest Code on or about November 9, 2017, which was approved by the Board of Supervisors as the Code Reviewing Body pursuant to Government Code section 82011. The SVBGSA recently amended its Code based on changed circumstances, and has requested the Board of Supervisors approve the amended Code. The Amended Code adds the positions of Deputy General Manager and Senior Advisor, which positions were recently created by the SVBGSA Board of Directors. A copy of the resolution of the SVBGSA Board of Directors is enclosed as Exhibit A, an underline version of the amended code showing the changes is enclosed as Exhibit B, and a draft resolution for the Board of Supervisors is enclosed as Exhibit C.

FINANCING:
There is no impact to the County General Fund with the adoption of this resolution.
