a. Approve a retroactive agreement and authorize the Contracts/Purchasing Officer or his designee to sign a County Standard Agreement with SmartWAVE Technologies, LLC to provide support for the Electronic Flagging System at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca with a total not to exceed amount of $150,000 retroactive to April 1, 2021 through December 31, 2023; and
b. Authorize the Contracts/Purchasing Officer or his designee to execute up to three (3) future amendments to this Agreement where the total amendments do not exceed 10% ($15,000) of the agreement amount and do not significantly change the scope of work.

RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
a. Approve a retroactive agreement and authorize the Contracts/Purchasing Officer or his designee to sign a County Standard Agreement with SmartWAVE Technologies, LLC to provide support for the Electronic Flagging System at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca with a total not to exceed amount of $150,000 retroactive to April 1, 2021 through December 31, 2023; and

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
This request supports the use of SmartWAVE Technologies, LLC for Electronic Flagging System (EFS) support during events at WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca. SmartWAVE Technologies shall provide electronic flagging functionality, basic troubleshooting, EFS network analysis, monitoring and related IT services to support track operations. This service is critical for the safe execution of our premier racing events.
The County received the Agreement already signed with a date that is now retroactive. The vendor has not begun work.
OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT:
