A RESOLUTION IN RECOGNITION OF THE RETIREMENT
OF RONALD J. STEFANI FROM THE NORTH COUNTY FIRE
PROTECTION DISTRICT OF MONTEREY COUNTY UPON MANY
YEARS OF DEDICATED SERVICE.
WHEREAS, Ronald J. Stefani is an employee of the North County Fire Pr(
Monterey County, a public agency dedicated to the protection of life and pr
fire and other emergency situations; and,
WHEREAS, Ronald J. Stefani, has provided thirty-eight 38) years of service
community in multiple capacities beginning in 1970 as a Volunteer Firefighte
status in 1976 as a Firefighter; promoted to Fire Lieutenant in 1978; promote(
1987; and finally promoted to Division Chief in 1989 in which he serv

WHEREAS, Ronald J. Stefani has experienced many memorable out-of-county moments
throughout his fire service career some of which chronologically include he Lexington Fire
1985), the Loma Prieta Earthquake 1989), Malibu Fire 1993), Pajaro/Cast oville Floods 1993
& 1995), Winter Storms 1997 & 1998), Hi-Roberts Fire 2002), Day Fire 2006), Witch Fire
2007), and,
WHEREAS, Ronald J. Stefani has experienced many unforgettable local incid nts, which include
the Moss Landing Power Plant Oil Tank Fire, the Cypress Recycling Center ox Fire, Randozzo
Recycling Box Fire, and the Sanchez Street Apartment Fire; and,
WHEREAS, Ronald J. Stefani was a vital component to instruction and tra" ing of firefighters
whose contribution list includes the Wildland Fire School, Chairman of Tri County Hazardous
Materials Advisory Council, Incident Command System Instructor, Fire Science Instructor for
Monterey Peninsula, Hartnell Community, and Cabrillo Community College
