Title: a. RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
a. Approve and authorize the Director or designee of the Department of Social Services to sign a no cost Memorandum of Understanding with Mexican American Opportunity Foundation to facilitate the exchange of confidentiality in order to provide childcare payment services to CalWORKs customers, for the period of July 1, 2024 to June 30, 2027; and
b. Authorize the Director or designee of the Department of Social Services to sign up to three amendments to this Agreement that do not encompass payment or significantly change the scope of work.

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
This Memorandum of understanding (MOU) is for the purpose of sharing confidential information with Mexican American Opportunity Foundation (MAOF) to provide a seamless transition from Stage 1 to Stages 2 & 3 childcare payment services. State of California Regulations Manual of Policies and Procedures (MPP 47-101.5) requires the exchange of information between County Agencies and Resource and Referral (R&R) and Alternative Payment Program (APP) service providers for the purpose of administering seamless transitional childcare services between Child Care Stages 1, 2&3.
