RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
Approve the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the Monterey County Registered Nurses’ Association (MCRNA) for the period April 5, 2020 through August 31, 2021.
SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
On May 1, 2020 Unit S ratified a Tentative Agreement (TA) with the County of Monterey. The TA was considered and approved by the Board of Supervisors on May 5, 2020 in closed session. The full MOU is presented for formal approval action today.
The MCRNA Unit S MOU provides for changes to wages and benefits as presented.
OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT:
MCRNA Unit S members and County of Monterey staff contributed to the development of the MOU as presented.
FINANCING:
Natividad Medical Center absorbed the annualized cost of the MCRNA agreement in FY 2019-20 and FY 2020-21budgets.
