Title: a. Approve and authorize the Director or Assistant Director of Health to sign an agreement between Monterey County Health Department, Environmental Health Bureau and Disaster Kleenup Specialist, Inc for Lead Paint Remediation services for a total amount not to exceed $200,000 for a term retroactive to May 1, 2022 through April 30, 2024; and b. RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
a. Approve and authorize the Director or Assistant Director of Health to sign an agreement between Monterey County Health Department, Environmental Health Bureau and Disaster Kleenup Specialist, Inc for Lead Paint Remediation services for a total amount not to exceed $200,000 for a term retroactive to May 1, 2022 through April 30, 2024; and
b. Authorize the Director or Assistant Director of Health to sign up to three (3) amendments to this agreement where the amendments do not significantly alter the scope of work or change the approved agreement amount by more than ten percent (10%).

SUMMARY/DISCUSSION:
The agreement will provide services for the abatement of lead paint in homes identified by the Environmental Health Lead Abatement Project Manager and is funded through litigation (settlement) funds. This Residential Lead Abatement Project is part of the Environmental Health's Consumer Health Protection Program for the County of Monterey Health Department Environmental Health Bureau. The Residential Lead Abatement Program has been created to implement a lead hazard assessment and abatement program for privately owned residential structures in the County of Monterey that is being funded through a court ordered judgment.
