a. Approve and authorize the Contracts/Purchasing Officer or Contracts/Purchasing Supervisor to execute a Standard Agreement with Community Human Services (CHS) to provide family counseling, treatment, and substance abuse prevention services for youth under the Juvenile Justice Crime Prevention Act (JJCPA) programs, in an amount not to exceed $135,700 and for a term of July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023; and
b. Authorize the Contracts/Purchasing Officer or Contracts/Purchasing Supervisor to sign future amendments to the Agreement where the amendments do not exceed ten percent ($13,570) of the original Agreement amount and do not significantly change the scope of services.

RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended that the Board of Supervisors:
a. Approve and authorize the Contracts/Purchasing Officer or Contracts/Purchasing Supervisor to execute a Standard Agreement with Community Human Services (CHS) to provide family counseling, treatment, and substance abuse prevention services for youth under the Juvenile Justice Crime Prevention Act (JJCPA) programs, in an amount not to exceed $135,700 and for a term of July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2023; and
b. Authorize the Contracts/Purchasing Officer or Contracts/Purchasing Supervisor to sign future amendments to the Agreement where the amendments do not exceed ten percent ($13,570) of the original Agreement amount and do not significantly change the scope of services.
SUMMARY:
The Probation Department recommends the approval of the Standard Agreement with Community Human Services (CHS) in an amount not to exceed $135,700 and for a term of July 1, 2022 through June 30, 2023, to provide family counseling, treatment, and substance abuse prevention services for youth through Drug and Alcohol Intervention Services for Youth (DAISY) under the Juvenile Justice Crime Prevention Act (JJCPA) programs. Services provided by CHS are bilingual, English and Spanish.
