a. Authorize the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Natividad Medical Center (NMC) or a designee to execute the Professional Services Agreement with Ventana Faculty Medical Associates of Monterey County, Inc. to provide family medicine physician and physician assistant services for an amount not to exceed $500,000 for the period of July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2028; and
b. Authorize the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Natividad Medical Center (NMC) or a designee to sign up to three future amendments to the Agreement where the total amendments do not significantly change the scope of work, do not exceed 10% ($50,000) of the original contract amount, and do not increase the total contract amount above $550,000.

RECOMMENDATION:
It is recommended the Board of Supervisors:
a. Authorize the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Natividad Medical Center (NMC) or a designee to execute the Professional Services Agreement with Ventana Faculty Medical Associates of Monterey County, Inc. to provide family medicine physician and physician assistant services for an amount not to exceed $500,000 for the period of July 1, 2026 to June 30, 2028; and
b. Authorize the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Natividad Medical Center (NMC) or a designee to sign up to three future amendments to the Agreement where the total amendments do not significantly change the scope of work, do not exceed 10% ($50,000) of the original contract amount, and do not increase the total contract amount above $550,000.
SUMMARY:
Natividad Medical Center (NMC) must ensure the availability of qualified providers to care for hospitalized patients and those who present to the emergency department, outpatient and hospital clinics, the Mental Health Unit, and the County Juvenile Hall.
