RECOMMENDATION:
Approve and authorize the Contract / Purchasing Officer to sign Amendment #7 to the Maintenance Service Supplement between the County of Monterey Emergency Communications Department and Zetron to extend the term up to one additional year in the total amount not to exceed $53,516.22 for the period July 1, 2015 to June 30, 2016.
SUMMARY/ DISCUSSION:
Zetron is the provider of the ACOM radio console system currently used at the Emergency Communications Department for public safety radio dispatch operations. The ACOM console system will be decommissioned with the installation of the NGEN / Harris Radio System. This extension of the MAINTENANCE SERVICES Agreement provides for a cancellation clause upon ninety (90) days written notice to factor in and facilitate that decommission process, as well as extends the Agreement up to an additional year and setting forth the fiscal year 2016 payment terms until that decommission can occur to provide for continuity of service.
OTHER AGENCY INVOLVEMENT:
Amendment #7 to the Maintenance Service Supplement has been approved by County Counsel as to legal form and by the Auditor-Controller as to fiscal provisions.
FINANCING:
The funds for this contract are included in the Emergency Communications Department annual budget.
